and a tansu bathroom cab...

The cabinets in your home should be as fun to use and touch as your favorite jewelry. We look and touch them endlessly. I swore if I had to spend as much time in a kitchen as any other mom does, I was going to enjoy the experience! That propelled me into the cabinet world 20 years ago.
Self taught...to a point...I enjoyed hand joinery classes at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking in Indiana, classes at the local high school (it was my excuse for a night off!) and endless trial and errors with high hopes for awesome and unique designs. Mentors include my brother-in-law, Bill, and training with “his people” at his very successful cabinet business in Southern California. Growing up, I was fascinated with my Uncle Cliff’s creations, who spent the last 15 years or so of his life building/sculpting his own home in the Connecticut woods. It screamed of his personality. To put that love into your own home, was awe inspiring. Oh yes, and my love of stacking plywood was ingrained early on, I am sure, from many of his beautiful sculptures! And...of course my father whom I followed endlessly in the shop my whole life and then worked with side-by-side for many fun hours.
Thanks to my devoted husband of 25 years in feeding my endless need to collect more tools and hone my skills. My 23 year old daughter and 21 year old son for putting up with all the redo’s under our own roof. I hope I have shown them the importance of pursuing your passion.
If you have a design in mind and or you want some help launching an idea, I’d love to work with you!
